A-Class Saloon 2018: HANDS-FREE ACCESS.

A-Class Saloon: HANDS-FREE ACCESS.

The new A-Class Saloon’s minimalist design, with MULTIBEAM LED headlamps and diamond grille, is elegantly finished thanks to a distinct rear end with striking two-part tail lights. Not only is it beautiful, but it also comes with a large load compartment. The HANDS-FREE ACCESS convenience function enables hands-free and fully automatic opening of the boot lid.

A case full of history.

With all the senses.

Starting now, the Mercedes-Benz Museum is offering visitor groups from day nurseries and kindergartens cases containing educational material which enable the permanent exhibition to be explored with all the senses. The concept is tailored to two age groups: visitors aged from two to four years and from five to seven years. It helps children to experience the permanent exhibition of mobility since 1886 in an intuitive way appropriate to their age.

T 80: The 3,500 PS record giant of 1939.

The dream of the absolute land speed record.

More than eight metres long, powered by a Daimler-Benz aircraft engine developing up to 2,574 kW (3,500 PS) and designed for a speed of up to 650 km/h: the Mercedes-Benz T 80 of 1939 was the automotive dream of the absolute world land speed record. The vision of breaking the record never became a reality. The Second World War prevented the planned record-breaking runs from taking place. But the fascination with the T 80 still endures even eight decades later. For many years it has been represented by the original body and wheels exhibited in the Mercedes-Benz Museum.
