What do we Offer?

We offer a range of vehicle leasing facilities through a panel of carefully selected third party lenders from whom we may receive an introductory fee or commission. We will not offer facilities from lenders outside of this panel.

What Services will we provide you with?

ACL Automotive Contracts Ltd offer products and services from a range of Leasing Companies, UK Vehicle Dealerships and Product Providers with whom we have commercial agreements in place. We are a Commission Based Organisation which means that we receive payments for business introductions. We will receive financial remuneration which may be variable or pre-set dependent on the product and the volume that we place with that organisation. The amounts that we receive may vary.

What do we charge for our Services?

We charge a Documentation Fee of £200 plus vat (£240) which is only payable at order stage, once acceptable finance has been obtained, as a contribution to the costs incurred in processing the vehicle finance agreement. Payment of the Documentation Fee can be via online or telephone banking by BACs transfer.

Confidentiality and Data Protection

Throughout the process of obtaining finance for your vehicle agreement we will need to collect personal information from you and pass this information onto one or more third party lenders to enable them to make a credit decision. We will not disclose your personal details outside of this group of lenders. We are able to supply a comprehensive list of lenders by request.

For your peace of mind, we can offer contracts on a maintained basis meaning that your vehicle maintenance including tyres and brake pads (excluding punctures, vehicle misuse, accident damage and vehicle glass) are covered throughout the duration of your lease. This cover is in addition to the standard full UK manufacturer’s warranty and roadside assistance that comes with your vehicle as standard.

Your Cancellation Rights

This page explains the period of time you have to decide whether or not you wish to use Mercedes On Lease along with our cancellation policy once this period has elapsed and we have commenced our services.

Please note, this policy specifically relates to cancelling with Mercedes On Lease and our service and does not relate to your cancellation rights with the finance provider. 

Cancellation Policy

For regulated credit broking agreements that have been concluded without any face-to-face dealings (ie. over the phone, internet etc.) you have the right to cancel the contract without penalty and without giving any reason within 14 calendar days in accordance with the Distance Marketing Directive. This legal right applies equally to all personal customers, sole traders and partnerships with up to four partners. Agreements for Limited Companies, Limited Liability Partnerships (LLP) and Partnerships with more than four partners are unregulated so therefore these rights do not apply. 

The 14 calendar day cancellation period for Mercedes On Lease’s Brokerage Service begins from the day you sign and accept our vehicle order. For orders cancelled after 14 calendar days, the following cancellation fees will apply: 

• If you cancel your order before you sign your Contract Hire or Personal Contract Hire agreement, a cancellation fee of £95 inc VAT will be retained by Mercedes On Lease to cover all costs and expenses incurred in arranging the credit hire agreement up to that point. This fee will be deducted from the POA inc VAT documentation fee paid by you (the customer) at point of order. 
• If you cancel your credit hire agreement after you have signed your Contract Hire or Personal Contract Hire agreement, Mercedes On Lease will retain the full processing fee of POA inc VAT to cover all costs and expenses incurred in arranging the credit hire agreement.

If you wish to exercise your right to cancel, you must notify Mercedes On Lease of your decision to cancel the contract by a clear statement in writing via email to:

You must include your full name, address and details as to why you wish to cancel the order. Please note, by exercising your right to cancel, you are withdrawing from the brokerage contract and the contract is terminated. For consumers entitled to a refund of the processing fee, either in part or in full, refunds will be issued within 14 working days from the day on which Mercedes On Lease receive your notification to cancel.

When you use the Mercedes On Lease service, there are different ways we gather information about you:

• When you register with us, we ask for information such as your name, e-mail address, contact numbers and – if you submit a lease application – your address, employment and bank details. We keep a record of this information. All this is necessary for us to recognise you as a registered customer and to fulfil the orders you place with us.
• We keep a record of the cars you lease through our service, which means we can deal a lot quicker with any problems you may experience with your contract(s) and/or vehicle(s).
• We may keep a record of e-mail correspondence you send us. This helps us keep track of your likes and dislikes and any problems or concerns you’ve had with our products or services.
• Telephone calls made to our Customer Service Helpline may be recorded for monitoring and quality control purposes. 

How We Use Your Personal Information

All the information we collect via our website or through correspondence with you is used to operate and improve the service we offer you. We are committed to using your personal information only for:

• Dealing with orders and accounts for the supply of our services and related products.
• Monitoring and improving the Mercedes On Lease website and our services.

Third Party Service Providers

We use several other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. For example, we engage companies to analyse customer information, provide marketing assistance, process credit card payments. We also engage agents including credit reference agencies, fraud prevention and detection agencies and debt collection agencies that we use to process the orders you place with us or who assist us in the service we provide to you. In these instances, we provide them with only the information they need to perform their function.

Promotional Offers

Sometimes we send offers to selected groups of Mercedes On Lease customers. All such promotional offers will come via ACL Automotive Contracts Ltd. If you wish to withdraw your consent from receiving these communications, you can do so by informing us in writing.

Business Transfer

If our company is ever sold or its assets are purchased by another company it would typically be part of such a transaction for customer information to form part of the business assets being transferred but the information will remain subject to the obligations as outlined in this Privacy Policy.

Security and Data Retention

If you enter into or took steps to enter into a contract with Mercedes On Lease, we will store the data for period of six years for compliance with our general legal obligations and for the exercise or defence of any legal claims.

Under the GDPR, you have the right to ‘block’ or request the deletion or removal of personal data to prevent further processing. This right to erase is also known as ‘the right to be forgotten’. Specific circumstances in which you can request the deletion or removal of personal data includes:

Subject Access Requests

You have the right to request access to a copy of the personal information that we hold about you. This is also known as a ‘Subject Access Request’. This information is provided to you free of charge however, we can refuse to respond or charge a ‘reasonable fee’ of £10 Inc VAT when a request is manifestly unfounded, excessive or repetitive.

Vehicle Information: The model, engine and variant of your vehicle. Please be aware that all new diesel vehicles are fitted either with a diesel particulate filter (DPF) and/or diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) technology which must be strictly maintained as stated within Mercedes-Benz’s guidelines. Failure to do so may result in damage to the vehicle which is NOT covered by Mercedes-Benz’s warranty or a maintenance contract.

The vehicle specification displayed on our website is supplied via CAP Data. Whilst every effort is made to ensure this information is accurate, it should only be used as a guide and you should not make any decision to lease a specific vehicle without verification from either the manufacturer’s website or a franchised dealer. Please check your order carefully to ensure it suits your exact requirements and if you wish to check or verify the exact specification of a particular vehicle, please contact us.

Term: This relates to the duration of your contract. Additional charges may apply if you terminate the contract early.

Annual Mileage: This represents the number of miles you intend to travel on a yearly basis.

Initial Rental: This is your first monthly payment. This is usually a multiplication of 3, 6, 9 or 12 monthly rentals. Payment of this is due within 5 to 10 days after delivery. The amount forms part of your agreement and is non-refundable.

Documentation Fee: The documentation fee is the fee charged by ACL Automotive Ltd t/a Mercedes On Lease for our service and represents the costs incurred for arranging the lease, ordering the vehicle, arranging the finance and organising delivery of the vehicle. This processing fee can be paid via debit or credit card or by BACs payment.

Monthly Rentals: This is the fixed monthly amount to be paid to the leasing company. Personal contract hire agreements include VAT at the prevailing rate.

Maintenance: For your peace of mind, we can offer contracts on a maintained basis meaning that your vehicle maintenance including tyres and brake pads (excluding punctures, vehicle misuse, accident damage and vehicle glass) are covered throughout the duration of your lease. This cover is in addition to the standard full UK manufacturer’s warranty and roadside assistance that comes with your vehicle as standard. Please be aware that without a maintenance package, you will be responsible for all maintenance and servicing costs for the vehicle throughout the duration of your contract in line with Mercedes-Benz’s guidelines.

Excess Mileage: This represents the cost charged in pence per mile which you drive over and above your allocated contractual mileage allowance. You should try and estimate the distance you will travel as accurately as possible to try and avoid excess mileage charges at the end of your contract.

Road Tax: All vehicles supplied from Mercedes On Lease include road tax for the duration of the contract.

Pricing: Please note that whilst ACL Automotive Contracts Ltd t/a Mercedes On Lease makes every effort to ensure that all "quoted" prices are correct up until an "order" is confirmed, prices are subject to change at any time by the lender and we reserve the right to pass on any changes which may affect the lease rates originally quoted. In the unlikely event of a change, we will contact you by email or telephone to confirm if you wish to proceed with your order or provide you with any alternative offers. If the alternative is not acceptable to you, ACL Automotive Contracts Ltd t/a Mercedes On Lease will terminate your order without penalty and refund any monies paid.

Delivery: Delivery lead times represent our best estimate based on information provided by our supplier. Whilst we try to ensure these dates are as accurate as possible, they are subject to change by the manufacturer and on occasion delays can occur due to production issues. Mercedes On Lease will keep you informed of any known changes to your vehicle’s delivery date to allow you to make any necessary arrangements as a consequence. Please be aware that ACL Automotive Contracts Ltd t/a Mercedes On Lease have no control or influence over lead times and will not accept any responsibility for any losses or inconvenience caused because of a delay. Please be aware that ACL Automotive Contracts Ltd t/a Mercedes On Lease do not provide the provision of a hire vehicle in the event that your delivery lead time is put back by the manufacturer.

Upon your delivery date, your vehicle will driven to your home or business trading address, provided your address is situated on the UK mainland. Your vehicle will have delivery mileage according to where it has been delivered from. If you require Vehicle Transported Delivery this can be arranged but an additional charge will apply. Please speak to your leasing consultant for further information.

End of Contact: At the end of your agreement, the vehicle will be collected by the lease company and will be inspected for any damage that falls outside what is deemed ‘fair wear and tear’.
