The Mercedes-Benz A-Class: What can we say other than what a truly amazing piece of automotive engineering.
Are you about to get a new Mercedes-Benz and are trying to decide whether leasing’s the right option for you? Then check out this article on all the reasons to lease!
We’ll be putting out some guides to leasing shortly but until then we wanted to highlight some of the reasons why leasing is a great choice for drivers. This article will look at our five top reasons to choose leasing over purchasing your next Mercedes.
If you have any questions about leasing or the benefits highlighted below then you can ring our team on 0333 772 1419 to get more info.
All of our lease vehicles are brand new from the dealership so you can be sure that you’ll be getting a new model. Not only does a new car look great but it comes with all the benefits such as having no existing wear, coming with the manufacturer’s warranty, and no MOT due for three years.
A lease agreement is typically between one and five years long, which means that every few years you’ll be able to take out another lease and get the newer model. When you take out a lease you can choose the best terms for you, so you decide how often you want to change lease vehicle.
When you reach the end of your lease agreement you can simply take out a new lease for a new model without the hassle of selling your current vehicle, or the worry of the price you might get for it. Cars are a depreciating asset and by leasing you avoid losing money when the time comes to get a new vehicle.
Unlike purchasing a car outright, the cost of leasing is spread over the duration of the time you have the vehicle, which means you don’t have to pay the full vehicle value in one payment but rather cover the cost of using the vehicle for that time.
There are a number of factors that determine the cost of a lease including the make and model of the vehicle, the expected mileage it will cover, the predicted resale value, the purchase price and much more however you will find that the monthly lease payments are lower than if you were to take out a purchase hire agreement.
Additionally, with a lease you are not required to pay a large amount upfront at the start of the finance agreement, which can make it a more affordable way to drive a new car for many people. There is the option to pay a larger initial rental if you are able to afford it, and this will reduce the following monthly payments.
Once you’ve confirmed the details of the vehicle and lease terms you want then you can sign the finance contract and once this is signed the monthly cost of the lease will be fixed. Then during your contract period this monthly cost will not increase and there will be no unexpected additional charges.
Though the cost of road tax is covered for the duration of the agreement it’s important to be aware that if there is an increase in the amount charged then you may be charged the difference between the initial taxation and newer amounts.
Having regular monthly payments makes it easy to budget for the cost of the vehicle without having to worry about saving for a big outlay when you’re updating models for costly purchase deposits.
In addition to the lease agreement, you can also take out a maintenance package, with the funder directly or a third-party maintenance provider, in order to cover the essential maintenance work that the car needs during this time.
This additional small monthly payment will mean you won’t have to pay for services, MOTs and additional maintenance work, within the guidelines, during your lease and so can save you a lot of money.
Your funder will usually have a dedicated maintenance line which also makes arranging any work your car needs straightforward for you.
Leasing is easy, especially with us! We’ll make sure that the process is as smooth as possible for you and provide you with regular updates before your car arrives so that you know exactly what stage the order is at.
Once your vehicle is delivered your funder will set the vehicle live on their system and be there to help if you have any questions about the contract and your vehicle during the agreement.
We’re always here to help as well if you decide to lease through Mercedes on Lease and have a question after delivery, though we might not have the answers we can help point you in the right direction.
